A Salvation Army worker was shot and killed Christmas Eve in front of his three young children during an attempted robbery outside the charity's community center in North Little Rock, a Salvation Army official said Friday.North Little Rock police said they were looking for the two men who accosted Salvation Army Maj. Philip Wise outside the community center about 4:15 p.m. Thursday. No arrests have been made.

He says one man pulled a gun, demanded money and then shot Wise.

A federal judge at Little Rock says he won't issue a restraining order against a former employee of Verizon Wireless who went to work for Allied Wireless Communication Corp.The decision Wednesday by U.S. District Judge James M. Moody came in Verizon's suit against Lewis E. Langston III. Verizon sought a temporary restraining order to keep Langston from disclosing confidential, proprietary trade-secret information that he obtained while he worked for Verizon.
