Detroit police say two gunmen opened fire at a house on the city's east side, killing three people and critically wounding a fourth.Police spokesman John Roach said Tuesday that no one was in custody. He says a 33-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and another man were found dead Monday night, each of them shot in the head.
CRYSTAL FALLS
A Wisconsin man who poached a wolf in Michigan's Upper Peninsula must pay more than $25,000 in fines and perform 20 days community service.Judge C. Joseph Schwedler on Monday also sentenced 37-year-old Stephen Popp Jr. of Green Bay to six months' probation and banned him from hunting for two years.
DEARBORN
An online group composed mainly of Michigan Muslims plans a live rally against the man accused of trying to bring down a Detroit-bound jet on Christmas.A Facebook group called Dearborn Area Community Members invites local Muslims and others to gather Jan. 8 at U.S. District Court in downtown Detroit. It's scheduled to coincide with a hearing for Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, charged with trying to detonate an explosive device on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Friday.

The U.S. Justice Department says Genesys Health System will pay $669,413 to settle a lawsuit alleging it submitted fraudulent claims to Medicare.The Justice Department alleged the Grand Blanc-based health care provider illegally billed Medicare for higher evaluation and management services than were actually given to cardiology patients.

Michigan continues to establish its priorities for seeking federal funding available to help clean up the Great Lakes.The state recently posted on a Web site a framework it will use when applying for a share of the $475 million federal Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
FERNDALE
Police in Ferndale say they have arrested a suspect in what they're calling a gang-related fatal shooting at a Sweet 16 party.Lt. William Wilson says police arrested the suspect about 6:45 a.m. Monday at his Detroit home. He tells The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak that the suspect could be arraigned Tuesday in the Dec. 19 death of 16-year-old Charles Dorchy of Detroit.
