Authorities say a 2-year-old boy somehow got outside of a relative's home in the eastern Montana town of Wibaux on Christmas Eve and died of exposure as family members slept.Dawson County coroner Tyler Silha said Michael Morgan's body was found at about 6:30 a.m. Christmas Eve. The boy was taken to a hospital in Glendive, where he was pronounced dead.

A Great Falls man who found a $6,000 diamond ring at the mall has returned it to its owner and wouldn't even accept the reward.Chandria Murphy of San Antonio, Texas, was helping her mother at her chair massage business at a Great Falls mall earlier this month. She was getting ready to close up on Dec. 10 when a last-minute customer arrived. She took off her three-diamond ring and placed it on a table. She usually puts it in her pocket.

A 51-year-old Montana man with six drunken driving convictions has been charged again after testing nearly four times the legal limit for alcohol.Earl Leo Rock pleaded not guilty to felony drunken driving Monday before District Judge G. Todd Baugh. Rock also was charged with felony criminal endangerment, driving with a suspended license and having an open alcohol container in a vehicle.

Anthony Johnson sank a foul-line jumper with 6 seconds left as Montana escaped with a 59-56 victory over Fresno State on Monday night.Montana had taken its first lead since the start of the game on two free throws by Derek Selvig with 2:47 remaining. Selvig followed that with a jumper for a three-point lead.
