The head of the Nevada boxing commission ordered Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to submit to urine tests Monday as a way of trying to break the impasse that has threatened to derail their proposed March 13 megafight.Pacquiao and Mayweather must submit to the tests within 48 hours or face possible fines or suspension by the Nevada Athletic commission.

Justice Ron Parraguirre (pehr-ah-Geh-ree) will serve as chief justice of the Nevada Supreme Court in 2010, taking over the position now held by Justice James Hardesty.Parraguirre's judicial career began in 1991 when he won a seat on the Las Vegas Municipal Court. He was re-elected twice and served until 1999, when he was appointed to the Clark County District Court bench by former Gov. Kenny Guinn.

Rick Kane, who played nine seasons in the NFL, has died. He was 55.Kane's family tells the Reno Gazette Journal that Kane died Friday of complications from pneumonia.
