Today is election day in many places, so to give all my readers a chance to vote, Columbia Thrifty Fashion Examiner is holding an election to choose a favorite thrift shop. Quite often there have been articles about thrift shops and consignment shops in Columbia, telling a little about their purpose, mission or charity and revealing some of my fashion “finds,” “steals,” and “treasures.”
Below there is a list of thrift shops and consignment shops that you undoubtedly have read about from time to time in this column. Some have appeared frequently. Many of you may have visited them, and perhaps even others that I have not yet been to. To vote for your favorite thrift shop, simply choose one from the list or add your own “write in"” candidate. Your votes will all be counted and the winner of the Certificate of Appreciation will be announced here tomorrow. The certificate in the photo will be filled out in hand-written calligraphy and delivered to the winning thrift shop or consignment shop in Columbia no later than Friday, November 6, 2009.
At the very bottom of this page, cast your vote by clicking on Columbia Thrifty Fashion Examiner and typing the name of your favorite thrift shop in the subject line of an email. It’s that easy! If you’d like to send a note, that’s fine, but you do not need to. Let’s have some fun, show our appreciation, and GET OUT TO VOTE TODAY!
