The NBA season is finally here. It all begins tonight in Cleveland, and that's where it may all end in June. The defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers will have something to say about that though. Tonight the Lakers will receive their rings with their eyes on repeating in 2010.

Here are my predictions for the conference standings and NBA Championship:

Eastern Conference

1. Cleveland Cavaliers (c)

4. Atlanta Hawks

5. Washington Wizards

6. Philadelphia 76ers

7. Chicago Bulls

8. Toronto Raptors

13. Milwaukee Bucks

14. New York Knicks

15. New Jersey Nets

Western Conference

1. Los Angeles Lakers (p)

2. San Antonio Spurs (sw)

3. Denver Nuggets (nw)

4. Dallas Mavericks

5. Portland Trailblazers

6. Utah Jazz

7. New Orleans Hornets

8. Phoenix Suns

9. Houston Rockets

10. Los Angeles Clippers

11. Golden State Warriors

12. Oklahoma City Thunder
