KTM factory rider Marvin Musquin, the reigning MX2 World Champion and French National Champion took on tough American competition on bigger bikes to be the fastest rider overall on the final day of the famous Supercross Bercy Paris.
Musquin, who has emerged this offroad season to be one of the most outstanding international talents again rose to the occasion in front of his home crowd and powered his KTM 250 SX machine to second in the Superpole behind American Stewart. He also finished third in Sunday's main event and topped the rankings for best overall on the indoor circuit in front of Americans Josh Hill and Justin Brayton.
To the excitement of his home crowd, the young French rider displayed his skill, agility and courage against imposing competition on his KTM machine, the same one on which he sealed the MX2 World Championship title with such finesse.
When the aggregate points were calculated at the end of the third day of competition to decide the ultimate "King of Bercy", Musquin finished in fourth place with Brayton taking the title after the withdrawal of American James Stewart, winner of the two previous nights, on medical grounds.
Riders had also competed in the Paris Bercy Arena before enthusiastic crowds on Friday and Saturday nights.
