The Rochester Museum and Science Center is taking people on an African safari this November with a dual movie presentation on the giant screen.
"Wild Africa" takes viewers along the southern African coast to explore the sardine migration and feeding habits of the whales and sharks.
"The Song of Africa" features photography by Tadayuki Naito and music by Hiromiki Okano, that celebrates the rhythm of life found on the African savannah.
The all ages show is a total of 65 minutes long.
See the double feature on Sundays, November 1, 8, and 15, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday shows for November 4, 18, and 25 are at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11 (Veteran's Day) has special showings at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. See the show on Fridays, November 6, 13, and 20 at 4:00 p.m. Special showings for the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 27, are at 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturdays, November 7, 21, 14, and 28 are at 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. Special evening shows at 8:00 p.m. will take place on November 7, 21, and 28.
Children under the age of 5 are not admitted at nighttime shows.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and college students with ID, $8 for children ages 3-18, and free for children under 3 or RMSC members.
