Neptune stations direct November 4, 2009 at 1:10 pm est.
Neptune, the planet astrologically known for it's fogginess, stations for direct motion November 4. Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, the intuitive healer, and presides over 12th house matters involving that which is behind the scenes, including the intuitive and psychological mind. Neptune is mythologically connected to the stormy sea-god Poseidon. Neptune is also connected to the "mother's child" raised as an androgyne and later to become the Wild Man Dionysus spreading drunken ecstasy*. Neptune has associative words such as; addiction, poetic, dreamy, illusions, delusions, foggy, confusion, spirituality, psychology, musical, whimsical, and romantic.
Neptune has been retrograde since the last days of May this year. Retrograde is the apparent back-wards motion of a planet as we on earth pass it creating increasing distance. When planets are retrograde the energy associated with the planet is said to be RE-versed or internalized. REtrogrades tend to incline us to RE-think, RE-prioritize, RE-do, RE-treat, etc.
While Neptune has been retrograde the last several months we have been internal in our spirituality, imagination, and self-discovery. With Neptune's station for direct motion in Aquarius, the rebellious humanitarian, we can paddle through the foggy waters and look for clarity in reflection of ourselves in order to connect to the humanitarian whole. During Neptune's Aquarian journey our intuitions are heightened through interconnectedness in groups and social networking. Our imaginations are limitless and joined with others through a matrix of higher consciousness revealing our future while creating an intellectual escapism.
Those with prominent Neptune in their natal charts tend towards the arts especially in poetry, painting, music and dance as well as escapism through addictions. Physically a prominent Neptune lends to large dreamy eyes.
Where Neptune is transitting your natal chart is where you'll find the edges blur, imagination soar, and things dissolve into the fog.
