Elizabeth J. de Almeida is the owner of Lizjul Doll Designings, a small doll business located in Westchester County of New York, where she creates handmade, hand designed and one of a kind dolls. She is also the author of Sounds Like Doll (iUniverse Publishing). Her work has been featured in the doll magazine Contemporary Doll Collector (For the love of Dolls). Her business received the "Non Traditional Entrepreneurial Award" by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Zeta Nu Omega Chapter, and was awarded the Agnes O'Grady Business Award By Mercy College, Delta Mu Delta. Elizabeth has written various articles on dolls through her online newsletter Mind’s Eye, sharing inspirations of her work and providing informative gift ideas to readers. Elizabeth holds an MA in Developmental Psychology, which she believes assisted her in tapping into the creativity and the use of imagination of the mind. Email
