Afro-Punk Tour Promo Picture

Afro-Punk presents: Saul Williams and guests "The Niggy Tardust Experience".

The first ever Afro-Punk tour kicked off last month in New York, and will visit 20 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada through November of this year. Next stop, Atlanta, November 4, 2009.  Saul Williams headlines the tour with scheduled appearances by CX KiDTRONik, Tchaka Diallo, and Earl Greyhound.

Afro-Punk: The Rock (2003), is a documentary film, directed and produced by James Spooner. The film explores the racial identities within the punk rock scene.  Since the films successful debut, an annual festival and a movement of Afro-Punkers have visibly emerged, blending punk rock, hip-hop, alternative and funk.  This new wave of electricity is being supported by many artists that don't necessarily fit the genres sound, but support its energy.

However you identify, it all starts in the mind.
