The hardiest of Chicagoland's motorcycling community are taking advantage of some early March sunshine to put the season's first miles on their bikes.
However, if it's not quite temperate enough for you to don your leathers, no worries--there's still plenty to do to before the official start of the season.
What next? Clean, tighten, and lube!
Get your bike, your screwdrivers, wrenches, cleaner and polish, and your motorcycle lubricant of choice all in one place. Start at the front of the bike and work top to bottom. If a part is dirty, grimy, or rusty, clean and polish it. If it has a screw or bolt, tighten it. If it requires lubricant, lube it. Use a torque wrench where your bike’s manual specifies to do so.
