Monsoon rains, near-freezing temps, and potholes that would swallow not just a Harley-Davidson motorcycle but a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership have you still stuck inside?
Not to worry--there's a long list of things you need to get done before you take your first putt this season.
Make spare sets of keys, change that funky sludge you call motor oil, and while you're at it, give your bike a thorough once-over.
Or, as veteran bikers know it, a good T-CLOCK.
Most riders know T-CLOCK as the pre-ride mnemonic developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation: Tires, Controls, Lights, Oil, Chassis, Kickstand. The smart rider will conduct a quick T-CLOCK inspection before (and after) each ride; the wise rider will conduct a thorough inspection before the season begins. Conducting a detailed pre-season inspection means you can identify and fix potential problem areas--from tires that really won’t safely stretch one more season to worn parts--and repair or replace these on your schedule instead when you’re ready to head out for your first day ride.
