A visit to St. Louis, Missouri. We were on our way to a reunion in Normal, Indiana and we we traveled from Wichita to Kansas City on the turnpike and then on I-170 to St. Louis. It was a cloudy day, but no rain. Traveling with my grown daughter and our 12 yr. old grandson. A nice van and plenty of time.
We arrived in St Louis about noon and the GPS has points of interest to follow. Having a kid with us we want to do something maybe a little different. There was not enough time to go to Worlds of Fun/ Kansas City or Six Flags over St. Louis, but we did find a "Magic House Museum". There were so many interesting things, it was geared for younger children, but we all enjoyed the adventure and the hands on creativity of a new experience.
There were electrical rooms, and investigator laboratory, and government offices, bubble rooms, magnet rooms and construction areas and many more things to do.
We did not see it all in 2 hours.
From there, we decided that on our way back to Wichita we would make time to go up into the Gateway Arch. We did get a few photos on our way by. Unfortunately the weather was against us on our way back and from the highway we could hardly see the arch. Pouring down rain we passed by without even a picture.
It was a great relaxing trip. Good highway all the way, making driving easy from Wichita.
