The U.S. Army issued an apology Monday to Ryan Seacrest, whose alleged stalker Chidi Uzomah is a trained Special Forces soldier currently serving in the reserves.
Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Nathan Banks told TMZ:
We apologize to Ryan Seacrest. Pending the outcome of the local investigation, the Army will decide what further action to take. We take all matters of our personnel seriously."
So Uzomah -- who was arrested Friday after he entered the building where Seacrest works, armed with a knife -- may be in big trouble under both civilian and martial law.
Uzomah was assigned to the 426th Civil Affairs Battalion, according to TMZ. The 426th is attached to the Green Berets. Armed and very dangerous.
