Before conservative Christian Carrie Prejean sued the Miss USA pageant for religious discrimination, she should have read her Bible. The pageant's cross-complaint exhorted:
Had [Carrie] heeded the guidance of the Gospel of John, who admonished only those who are without sin to cast stones in judgment, she might have avoided this legal battle ..."
In other words, her XXX sex tape did her in.
TMZ reports that Prejean sued the pageant for more than a million dollars, claiming they dethroned her because of her religious beliefs (she famously said she was against gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant). The pageant said it snatched her crown because she failed to carry out her duties--or as Donald Trump calls it, she treated everybody like sh**.
But Prejean's hopes to make some big dough were dashed when the pageant's lawyer showed Carrie a copy of her sex tape, which has not been released publicly. TMZ says it has had a copy of the tape for some time but did not post it because it was too racy even for their site.
So when the lawyer played his ace, Carrie folded. In TMZ's words, "it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing."
A bit of hindsight for Miss Prejean, as offered in I Timothy 6:10:
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
