There are many types of triathlons that go for different distances and also challenge you with different levels of competition. If this is your first time competing in a triathlon then you should seek out a sprint or mini tri. These are triathlons with much shorter distances and are generally for fun or even for a cause such as the Tri For the Cure. If you are experienced then you should definitely stick with the full triathlon circuit. The Ironman Triathlon Circuits will involve a 3.8km swim, a 180km ride, and a 42.2km run. Keep in mind that these are done one right after the other.
