The leaves are coming off and the jackets are going on; the nights of having a cocktail on the patio have passed. Fortunately, organizations like Niche Hospitality Group provide great deals, and indoor, heated entertainment as fall morphs into winter.
Variety of food and happy hour menus Niche Hospitality Group, who own four restaurants in Worcester (Jewel Box, Bocado, MezCal and The Citizen), not only offer a wide range of food, but happy hour deals as well. The four locations range in menu selection, including wine and cheese at The Citizen, tapas at Bocado, Mexican-inspired cuisine at MezCal, and Asian bistro offerings at Jewel Box. Although not all of the locations are open for lunch, all four restaurants are now advertising a $4 menu at the bar from 4:30 to 7:00pm.
Weekly November events at The Citizen Two of Niche's four locations have weekly events through the month of November. Every Monday, The Citizen hosts an open mic night for all forms of entertainment; the event's dj is Tony Yodice. Each week some of the areas newest acts test out their talents on a live audience. There is no cover, and the event is open to any and all who'd like to participate.
Every Thursday evening, The Citizen invites the ladies of the town in for a tasty treat. Girl's Night Out includes a free order of chocolate for the women in the area to enjoy with a glass of wine or a hand crafted cocktail.
Every Friday night, The Citizen entices their Worcester crowd with themes from the South Pacific. Songs from the Islands and tropical drinks, with fresh fruit and exotic ingredients, highlight the evening. There is also outdoor, heated seating available. Saturday nights, on the other hand, are inspired by Havana; there is a Cuban pressed sandwich added to the menu for that evening alone.
Weekly November events at Bocado The second location with a packed nighttime schedule hosts EDUARDO, live, on Thursday evenings. The band goes on at 7pm and plays until 9. They encourage dancing (the second Thursday of the month, Salsa Storm dance troupe takes to the floor, after a brief demonstration, to keep things shaking).
Friday nights at Bocado finds Pueblo Nuevo performing live; the group specializes in classic Salsa and Latin hits.
Monday November 30 Bocado hosts their monthly wine dinner. Food and wine pairings are created by their chef Steve Champagne. The cost varies depending on the selections, and the restaurant should be contacted directly for tickets at (508) 797-1011.
The Niche Hospitality Group has quite a hold on the pulsing beat of Worcester's nightlife. They are committed to offering a variety of quality food and beverage, continuing to keep up with the social climate of the city, and responding to their costumers concerns and needs. Luring people into the chilly weather is much easier with this selection of entertaining evening events.
