A few weeks ago I wrote about the exciting Ignite Baltimore speaking series that I was a part of. The night went very well. Unfortunately the official video recording of the entire night was seriously damaged so most of the great speeches were lost. A friend of mine taped most of my speech. I have included that recording below.
In a few minutes the TEDx conference will start and I will be in attendance. An article that explains what TEDx is can be found here. TEDx is another creative solutions event that we are lucky to have in Baltimore.
NOTE: The first slide and first 20 seconds of my speech were cut off. The slide is titled "Smart Decisions" and there is a photo of me in my tuxedo. I explain that the tux only cost $200 while it costs over $100 to rent the same Tux. Why rent when you can buy? We are conditioned to make unwise financial decisions to gain popularity and status. We are conditioned to make wasteful "Buy Buy Buy" type decisions. We must break away from hypserconsumerism and make smart decisions. I prefaced the speech by saying this is going to be fast and this is my life. I was going a million miles per hour to make sure I could fit everything in :)
