Western swing kings and Grammy winning country band Asleep At The Wheel performs on Monday at the Babcock Theater. The concert was originally planned for Nov. 1, but due to a scheduling conflict, the band moved the date, according to concert promoter Sean Lynch. All tickets for the Nov. 1 date will be honored.
Active since the early 1970s, the band has an eclectic history. Lauded for their energetic performances and Texas swing meshed with roots music and a bit of boogie, band members have landed nine Grammy awards in their career. Eight musicians make up the band, performing on instruments ranging from fiddle to piano to steel guitar.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets for the all-ages show cost $29.50 (plus applicable fees) and are available at Rimrock Mall, Ernie November, by phone at 800-325-SEAT or online at 1111presents.com.
