Yesterday Harley-Davidson informed Shelbyville, Indiana and Murfreesboro, Tennessee that the Motor Company will not be relocating to either location. Earlier they announced that Kansas City, Missouri was not longer in the running to replace the York, Pennysylvania. The only city still in contention to replace the York facility is Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Harley-Davidson and yet to make a final announcement as to the future of the York facility. That decision should come in December after a vote by the union on concessions. The Motor Company has said all along that keeping the York plant open is the highest priority but much will depend on this upcoming vote.
