Tin Horn Flats can be characterized as Burbank’s oldest watering hole, and this historical hotspot, which emerged in 1939, still evokes that old-school feeling with its saloon-style swinging doors and hanging steer heads. This distinctive joint can also be described as the “bear cave,” as it is a genuine Chicago bar—one where the most ferocious fans come to drink and watch the game. The scene on Sundays is anything but civilized, and if the Bears score a touchdown, the waiters serve up 50 cent beers to quench the bear clan. Let me issue a warning to all you non-Chicago fans: do NOT enter the bear cave wearing clothing of an opposing team. If you decide to take on this challenge, enter at your own risk, and don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Since the bears love to drink, Sundays offer $3 bloody Marys and screwdrivers, and $4 Yager shots. The bar also caters to the cubs, as kids under 10 can enjoy their tasty grub for half off. And, if any of the bears or cubs purchase Tin Horn Flats merchandise, they can take 10% off their bill. This Chicago establishment also provides a weekday happy hour, and from 3-6pm Monday-Friday, the party animals can sip on $3 pints, $7 pitchers, and $3 shots. The bears especially like to feast on the big, delectable burgers, and these are available for only $5 on Wednesdays.
