Time for “Vinny’s Twenty” college football picks for Week 10. I pick 20 games each week involving teams in D-1 (aka FBS) in the state of Alabama, the SEC, matchup of two Top 25 teams and the best of the rest. No point spread here, just straight winners. Vinny’s Upset…
Stanford over #8 Oregon
I only feel one upset this week and it’s again in the PAC 10 involving the Quack Attack. I like Oregon too like many of you do. It’s a duck love-fest from college football analysts and media right now. However, this is a classic letdown spot for an Oregon team coming off the dismantling of USC and consequently hearing and reading how great they are. The most sluggish win for Oregon was on grass at UCLA. The Ducks have a lot of team speed but the grass at Stanford Stadium (being watered and fertilized again as you read this) will slow Oregon down just enough. Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh has done a terrific job reviving that program. He seems to think his quarterback Andrew Luck is the best QB in the country! Crazy I know, but maybe Luck gives Harbaugh’s statement some credence with a bigtime performance in this game. This would be a monster win for the Cardinal program. I don’t think they miss out on the opportunity. Stanford in a shocker!

Record Last Week (Week 8) = 14-6
Season Total Record = 141-39 (78%)
