It's official. The government says we are in a recession. Of course, as usual, they are about a year late in reporting it. Anyone who's been laid off or seen the value of his or her dollar (and bank account) drop alreay knew that America was in trouble. The economy has been so rough over the past year that even our pets are being impacted by it. They have lots of questions and want answers. Below are the top seven that your dog is probably asking you about now.
1. Where is the Kibbles 'n Bits?
2. Why did you put a bow on one of my old toys and stick it under the Christmas tree?
3. Are the tears you are crying over your milk because it spilled or just a new way to make it stretch.
4. Are we eating the same food now because you suddenly acquired a taste for dog food?
5. Wasn't there a couch in this room just the day before?
6. Didn't you once tell me I was the only roommate you ever wanted to have?
7. Your mom's couch sure is cushier than our old one.
All right, these questions are obviously just jokes. Hopefully, no one reading this blog has resorted to any of these things. However, what you are probably doing is tightening up your budget in anticipation of a lay-off or another unexpected event. So, for a few good ideas on how to reduce the amount of money spend on your pet, check out Three Ways to Save Money on Dog Products. Then, just take it easy until the American economy turns for the better.
