Does your Bulldog have what it takes to ride on the Natural Balance Rose Parade float?
Does your Bulldog have what it takes to ride on the Natural Balance Rose Parade float?
Dr. Maria de Lourdes Esteras

We’ve all seen the internet videos of skateboarding Bulldogs at least once. The clips may even get emailed to you multiple times during the year. So what do skateboard-loving Bulldogs do when winter sets in? Apparently they take up snowboarding. At least that’s what Natural Balance Pet Foods is hoping with their snowboarding Bulldog casting call.

Natural Balance Pet Foods is searching for talented, and well balanced, Bulldogs to snowboard down the Natural Balance float during the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day. Two boarding Bulldogs will be chosen for the float and will be paid for the training days and the week of the Rose Parade. The top dogs will snowboard down the world’s longest float (112 feet) with Tillman, the Guinness Book of World Records-crowned “World’s Fastest Skateboarding Dog” and his friends Rose and Lyle.

Tryouts for the float spots will take place on November 6, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Natural Balance Pet Food Headquarters, 12924 Pierce St. in Pacoima, CA. Contestants must be well behaved and current on vaccinations. To register your Bulldog, or for more information, visit the Natural Balance Pet Foods website at http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/programs/auditions.html and be sure to look for the snowboarding Bulldogs in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.
