50 Cent. is coming to town.  That sentence is enough to make teenagers plan to be where he is, and make parents nervous. It's also enough to make police chiefs extra cautious. That is exactly what happened in Bensalem last night as the rapper, turned actor, turned director showed up at the Neshaminy Mall.

The event was 50 Cent in his first time directing a movie, which is called "Before I Self Destruct."  The movie was held in a large theater at the AMC movie complex at the mall. Tickets were free. In spite of this, only 75 fans showed up.  Partly to blame was a SEPTA strike.

The Neshaminy Mall is not exactly located where people can walk to it, so if  fans from Philadelphia did not have transportation, they were not able to attend.  At least 10 to 15 police  were stationed around the movie theater. As 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) was closer, communications between the rapper and the theater became clear.  50 would be arriving in a five vehicle motorcade with an entourage  that would rival a head of state.

First up was a gentleman who was the advance man, who briefed the movie management  on what 50 would and would not be doing.  After a brief inspection, the motorcade rolled through the police barricade and stopped at an emergency exit to the theater.  50 exited the passenger seat of a passenger van, and  dressed in a Phillies cap cocked to one side, he strode with his entourage into the theater. A few bystanders stopped on the street to see what was going on. Those in the theater were happy to see 50 . His crew sat around him and 50 did not sign autographs for people.

His movie is released in America very shortly. http://www.50cent.com
